On leaving Paris early one spring, Ruda hadn’t expected to voyage as far as Oslo during that cruising season, but finding herself in Norway’s vibrant, music-filled capital she settled into a comfortable (and unexpectedly affordable) mooring, giving her crew time to explore the city’s excellent museums, and to take the train to Norway’s highest railway station at Finse in order to hike down to Flåm, take a ferry along Sognefjord to stay a few days in Bergen before returning to their floating home in Oslo.
